I mean : do anyone reading this honestly believe that after a few years from this point, when they take away crappy Islands and Warfronts and some time passes after that will be creating threads with "Oh how much i miss Islands/Warfronts it was so much better back then"? - Don't make me laugh There will be no such threads - don't lie to yourself if you actually believe in that, it'lbe literally the same as to how Garrisons from WoD are percieved right now - aka the thing which simply shouldnt've been. For example about when gear mattered in PvP and you had to do EFFORT to get it so you can shit on the guys who didn't put any effort - it felt good didn't it? It certanly did, and that's it how it should have stayed instead of what we got now.
I can continue this for longer and write more meaningless text about things "Back then", and actually YEAH - It would be about things "Back then" cuz there's no good things "right now" to write about. But those small things was the shit which made this game a goddamn MMO, instead of soulless single-player shell of a game. I(and absolute most of you) can easily name a lot more of such small things. Heh, in fact those old Legendaries was a small thing. Yes, they were OP, yes they were for a certain classes only, yes - they sometimes caused Drama and YES : They actually required a GROUP'S EFFORT TO GET, you couldn't just go and randomly get it by beating dummy WB with a weekly lockout. Remember class Legendaries from back then? I mean when they were actual legendaries, not Legions "Heheh i've got 3Leggies in a month" ILVL slot fillers.
So yeah, badge system was the worst (c)Some idiot from 201? Blizzard. Well you don't even need to specifically look to see them. But worry not brothers : Badge system still happily exists in FFXIV and i'l be damned : I haven't seen many complaining about it As for complaints for RNG-diablo loot. Diablo-like RNG loot system with pruned to the point of stupidity 4 stats furher dumbed down by "ILVL MUST BE THE THING FOR YOU TO CHOOSE YOUR GODDAMN GEAR" mindset.ĭo you have fun with such "progression"? - I certainly don't. Remember capped badge system back in Wotlk/Cata? It was one of the best systems ever created, with it there was a goddamn feel of progression for your toon no matter were you raiding or not. Just do it, stop showing your support to the people who is goddamn taking away everything from you while giving NOTHING in return.
